Summit Lock

Do not be fooled by imitations.

The original SummitTM Lock was the first proximal lock designed to control rotation and the only lock with ZERO clearance required. We have improved the original and created the LowPro SummitTM Lock for easier donning. Both locks are designe specifically for long limbs. There is no need to purchase a locking liner and you can use the socket adaptor of your choice. SummitTM Locks can be used for any activity level, above or below the knee, for anyone up to 265 lbs.

For the bottom line: The SummitTM and LowPro SummitTM offer the highest profit margin of any lock mechanism because you are converting a cushion liner into a locking liner.

Tech / Fitting Tips

TECH TIP:   Some liners work better than others with the SummitTM Lock and LowPro SummitTM Lock. For best results, give us a call before ordering.

FITTING TIP:   Some patients may experience the sensation that they are not completely in the socket. This is typically due to air being trapped under the limb. Instead of trying to pull the tab to get into the socket (this will cause liner damage) an expulsion valve can help get the limb seated completely in the socket.

TECH TIP:   Quick Adhesive sets extremely fast. If not glued fast enough it may not properly adhere to the liner. The glue can be refrigerated to slow down its work time. Work quickly when using adhesive with the SummitTM Lock.
